The Stripers have begun to show up in the Colusa area of the Sacramento River. Mostly schoolie size 3-7 lbs being reported on everything from lures, to jigs, to bait and even minnows. There are not very big concentrations of fish yet. Most boats are catching fish, but not easy limits. The water temp was already at 61 degrees which is a concern as Stripers will tend to spawn at 60 as a rule. With the low water this year and not much forecasted, we’ll have to see if the big push of fish will come. Stay tuned!!
