Fishing is still slow on The Sacramento River for King Salmon. In the past couple of days however, the fish have really begun to start moving in and I expect within a week or two that the fishing should pick up considerably. Best bets have been plugs early then switching to roe when the sun hits the water. August 19th is a benefit Salmon derby to raise money for the Nico Project. If you are not already aware this is a local fund raiser put on by the Cardoza family that lost their 16 month old son Nico. The proceeds are going to help build a play structure at Caper Acres here in Chico. This is a great cause and you can sign up the day of the event if needed. For more info go to www.nicoproject.com Take care and fish on.

We had a great time with Keith...and Buster of course! Keith is very patient and an excellent teacher. His boat is very neat and organized and he was prepared with a small arsenal to ensure our trip was successful. I highly recommend Tail Chasers Fishing Guide Service.
