Sacramento River King Salmon fishing will close on December 16, 2012. While the fast and furious fishing we experienced this season has come to an end, there are still plenty of King Salmon to be caught. This is typically the time of the year when the “big boys” show up. There are not as many fish in the system during the late fall season, but the ones we catch are usually in the 30lb plus range. This is a great time of the year to be on the Sacramento River as the boat traffic is non existent and there are days when you can have the whole river to yourself. Give me a call if you are interested in chasing some of these bright late fall King Salmon, you could be in for the fish of a lifetime! Take care.
