Sacramento River Salmon fishing is quickly approaching and all signs point to another banner year. The Sacramento River Salmon season opens July 16th. Prime dates are August 10 through the month of September. Weekends will fill up fast, so if you are looking to possibly fish a weekend during that time, you may want to book early! We fish for Sacramento River King Salmon backtrolling plugs and our favorite method, bouncing or drifting roe. We fish roe with light tackle and it’s very popular with my clients.
